Installing a strap on your Swatch x AP Royal Pop: tutorial

Before you start

Installing a strap on your Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop requires no tools and takes less than a minute. The attachment relies on clips built into the watch, identical to those of the original strap.

Step 1 — Remove the original strap

Place your Royal Pop on a flat, clean surface, ideally on a soft cloth. Press the side clip located near the case and gently pull the original strap outward. Repeat on the other side.

Step 2 — Present the new strap

Align the strap's pins with the watch's housings. Place the short side at 12h and the long side at 6h for optimal wrist comfort.

Step 3 — Lock the strap

Press firmly until the locking click. Check the hold by gently pulling the strap: it must remain fully joined to the watch. Repeat on the other side.

Step 4 — Adjust the folding clasp

Slip on the watch and adjust the stainless steel folding clasp to the notch that offers the best comfort. You can change the setting at any time without tools.

Mistakes to avoid

• Never force the insertion: if it resists, check the pin alignment.
• Don't use a sharp tool to press the clips.
• Don't twist the strap during installation.
