Caring for your Swatch x AP Royal Pop: a complete guide

A robust watch — but treat it with care

The Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop is built to last. Its bioceramic case and mineral glass are sturdy, but a few care precautions help preserve its shine and colors over time.

Regular cleaning

Clean your Royal Pop once or twice a month with a soft microfiber cloth, lightly dampened with warm water. For hard-to-reach areas (around the visible screws), use a soft toothbrush. Avoid any chemical, alcohol or solvent that could dull the case.

Water resistance and exposure

The Royal Pop resists splashes, but isn't designed for prolonged bathing or diving. Avoid hot showers and baths. If it gets wet, dry it immediately with a soft cloth.

Sun and UV exposure

Prolonged direct sun can alter the colors of the lighter models (Pastel Pink, Natural Beige, Mint Green). When not wearing it, store it away from light, ideally in its original case.

Shocks and falls

The octagonal case is sturdy but the edges can mark from impact. Avoid placing it next to keys or metal objects. For sporty use, prefer wearing it with a Pop's Straps band: the folding clasp secures the watch on the wrist.

Long-term storage

If you don't wear your Royal Pop for several weeks, remove the silicone strap (which can deform if left bent) and store the watch flat in its case. Keep it dry and at room temperature.

Well cared for, your Swatch x AP Royal Pop will keep its colors and finishes for years.See all our FAQs.
